인디안 도덕경, Native American 'Code of Ethics'

자신의 길을 잃은 누군가를 만나거든, 관대히  자비함 으로(Loving-Compassion) 마주하라.  길잃은 영혼에게 쏟아져 나오는 것은 무지와 자만,  노여움과 질투 그리고 탐욕 뿐 일지니 그들이 자기 가는길로 인도되어 지기를 기도하라.  다른이의 생각과 소망, 말에 경의를 표하라.  이것이 비록 그대의 것과 아니같을 지라도 결코,  간섭하거나 이를 비난하며 야유하지 말 것이라.  각자 고유한 불성/신성을 소유함으로, 그들 영적수준에 정확히 어울리는 '자신만의 영혼의 길'을 가고 있음을 알아 그들이 자신의 길을 가도록 허용하라.  악담이나, 저주하지 말것이라.  그대가 우주를 향하여 방사한 그 부정의 에너지는,  몇갑절로 불어 결국은 '그대에게' 되돌아 오는 이치이니.  상처입은 감정의 毒氣는 결국 그대 자신의 몫, 일지니... 모든 인간은 실수하기 마련이고 또한 용서받지 못하는 그 어떠한 실수도 존재하지 않음을 알것이라. (All person make mistakes and all mistakes can be forgiven.) 부정적인 생각은 결국 육체에 질병을 일으키고, 마음과 영혼에 상처 주나니, 항상 긍정적이고 밝은면을 바라보는 습관을 기르도록 할지니.   안으로 귀의하여, 그대 자신의 진정한 자아를 성심으로 탐구하라.  다른 어데에도 의지처 삼지 아니하고, 오로지 자신의 힘. 자신의 의지로써 일어 설지라. 그대 고유한 영혼의 길에 그 어느 누구도 간섭하지 아니하게 할것이며, 이는 하여서는 아니되는 것 이라.  그 길은 오로지 그대만의 길이요, 그대 혼자 가야하는 길 임을 알아 언제 어데서나 오직 진실함을 추구 할 것이라.  또한 정직(Honesty) 이라함은, 이 우주에서 삶을 경험하는 모두가 거쳐야하는 영적 시험(Spiritual Tests)인 것을 늘상 기억할 것이라.  Native American 'Code of Ethics' 1. Rise with the sun to pray. Pray alone. Pray often. The Great Spirit will listen, if you only speak. 2. Be tolerant of those who are lost on their path. Ignorance, conceit, anger, jealousy and greed stem from a lost soul. Pray that they will find guidance. 3. Search for yourself, by yourself. Do not allow others to make your path for you. It is your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you. 4. Treat the guests in your home with much consideration. Serve them the best food, give them the best bed and treat them with respect and honor. 5. Do not take what is not yours whether from a person, a community, the wilderness or from a culture. It was not earned nor given. It is not yours. 6. Respect all things that are placed upon this earth - whether it be people or plant. 7. Honor other people's thoughts, wishes and words. Never interrupt another or mock or rudely mimic them. Allow each person the right to personal ｅxpression. 8. Never speak of others in a bad way. The negative energy that you put out into the universe will multiply when it returns to you. 9. All persons make mistakes. And all mistakes can be forgiven. 10. Bad thoughts cause illness of the mind, body and spirit. Practice optimism. 11. Nature is not FOR us, it is a PART of us. They are part of your worldly family. 12. Children are the seeds of our future. Plant love in their hearts and water them with wisdom and life's lessons. When they are grown, give them space to grow. 13. Avoid hurting the hearts of others. The poison of your pain will return to you. 14. Be truthful at all times. Honesty is the test of ones will within this universe. 15. Keep yourself balanced. Your Mental self, Spiritual self, Emotional self, and Physical self - all need to be strong, pure and healthy. Work out the body to strengthen the mind. Grow rich in spirit to cure emotional ails. 16. Make conscious decisions as to who you will be and how you will react. Be responsible for your own actions. 17. Respect the privacy and personal space of others. Do not touch the personal property of others - especially sacred and religious objects. This is forbidden. 18. Be true to yourself first. You cannot nurture and help others if you cannot nurture and help yourself first. 19. Respect others religious beliefs. Do not force your belief on others. 20. Share your good fortune with others.
